The author does a great job of explaining legal intricacies in an accessible way. Some of these topics are mortifying, and some are purely ridiculous. This book should really be titled “things about the legal system every American should have been taught in high school.” It makes you appreciate the legal profession and sheds light on a bunch of news stories that aren’t fully conveyed by sensationalized headlines.
